Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed the most wonderful lunchtime outdoors today at St Bede’s. Our children rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into planting a variety of young trees — smaller ones to support nesting birds, and larger fruit trees that will continue to grow and give back to our community for many years to come.

As part of their Lenten reflection walk, the children paused to think deeply about caring for creation and the shared responsibility we all have for our world. Watching them approach the activity with such enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and care was truly inspiring — a real example of stewardship in action.

It was an afternoon filled with learning, reflection and plenty of muddy smiles — the very best kind!
