Year 5 pupils from St Bede’s Catholic Primary School recently embarked on a residential trip to Emmaus Youth Village, where they experienced a journey of faith, friendship, and personal growth.
Set in the peaceful countryside, the children took part in a variety of activities designed to encourage teamwork, reflection, and spiritual development. A key focus of the trip was exploring the stories of St. Paul and learning how they could be a ‘living hope’ in their own lives.
Through discussions and creative tasks, pupils deepened their understanding of St. Paul’s mission and reflected on how his teachings apply to everyday life. They were inspired by his resilience and unwavering faith, creating artwork, writing prayers, and sharing personal reflections on how they can be brave and compassionate.
This residential not only strengthened their spiritual awareness but also fostered lasting friendships and a strong sense of community—values they proudly carried back to school.
