On 1st May, our Reception class at St Bede’s marked the beginning of the Month of Mary with a beautiful and reflective Celebration of the Word.
During this special time, the children learned about the importance of Mary and her role in saying “yes” to God. They took part in a thoughtful activity, creating colourful flowers as a symbol of thanks to Mary for her loving “yes” and for bringing the gift of Jesus into the world.
The celebration also gave pupils the opportunity to think about their own lives, reflecting on simple ways they can say “yes” to God through kindness, helping others and making good choices each day.
It was a wonderful moment of prayer, creativity and reflection for our youngest learners, helping them to grow in their faith and understanding. We are so proud of how beautifully Reception engaged in this meaningful celebration.
