A huge thank you to everyone who donated, attended and supported our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, friends and wider community, the event was a fantastic success.
It was wonderful to welcome so many members of our school and parish community to come together in support of such an important cause. The morning was filled with kindness, conversation and community spirit, making it a truly special occasion for everyone involved.
A Fantastic Response from Our School Community
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated cakes, biscuits and sweet treats. The response from our families was overwhelming, and the generosity shown throughout the event was remarkable.
Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring, supportive and compassionate school community. Your contributions helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while raising valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Year 6 Lead the Way
A special well done must go to our Year 6 pupils, who organised and led the event with maturity, enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility.
From welcoming visitors to helping run the morning smoothly, they were excellent ambassadors for St Bede’s and represented our school with pride. Their dedication and commitment played a significant role in the success of the event, and we are incredibly proud of them all.
Faith in Action Through Solidarity
As part of their learning about the Catholic Social Teaching principle of Solidarity, our Upper Key Stage 2 pupils have been exploring what it means to stand alongside others in times of need.
By supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, the children have put their faith into action, demonstrating compassion, service and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Through this experience, they have shown the importance of caring for those facing challenges and offering support to people in our wider community.
Beginning the Faith in Action Award Journey
The Macmillan Coffee Morning also marks the beginning of Year 6's Faith in Action Award journey. Throughout the year, pupils will participate in a range of leadership opportunities, charitable initiatives and acts of service that will help them grow as young leaders rooted in faith.
We are excited to see the many ways they will continue to live out Gospel values and make a positive impact within our school and beyond.
Thank you once again to everyone who helped make the morning such a success. Every donation, cake, helping hand and act of support contributed to a wonderful event and helped raise money for an incredibly worthwhile cause.
Together, we have demonstrated the power of community, compassion and faith in action.
