Year 2 pupils at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School have been busy exploring their exciting ‘Secret Garden’ dance as part of their dance lessons.
The children have been developing their creativity and performance skills by learning how to create and link movements, work collaboratively with others, and keep in time with music using 8-count sequences.
Inspired by busy bees in a garden, pupils created their own dance routines featuring movements such as collecting nectar, performing a waggle dance, travelling between flowers and landing safely. Using a variety of actions and expressions, they brought their bee characters to life while building confidence and coordination.
Throughout the project, the children demonstrated fantastic teamwork, imagination and enthusiasm. It has been wonderful to see them growing in confidence as they work together to create and perform their dance sequences.
We are incredibly proud of their hard work and creativity and look forward to seeing their dance skills continue to flourish.
